The story

大卫：新家都弄好了。我们开一个聚会吧！The new place is all done. Let's throw a party!

小雨：好主意！我们邀请谁？Good idea! Who shall we invite?

大卫：王老师、安娜、马克，还有小林。Teacher Wang, Anna, Mark, and Xiaolin.

小雨：张经理呢？你不邀请他吗？What about Manager Zhang? Aren't you inviting him?

大卫：他说他讨厌猫。万一他看见包子就走呢？He says he hates cats. What if he sees Baozi and just leaves?

小雨：邀请吧，他是你的老板嘛。你刚升职！Invite him — he's your boss, after all. You just got promoted!

大卫：好吧。……哇，厨房里什么这么香？Fine. ...Wow, what smells so good in the kitchen?

小雨：我做的肉和鱼。今天有八个菜！The meat and fish I'm making. Eight dishes today!
