安娜：大卫，你的新家环境真好，学习条件也很好！David, your new place has such nice surroundings, and great study conditions too!

王老师：大家好！今天我先问一个问题。你们的汉语水平怎么样？Hi, everyone! I'll start today with a question. What's your Chinese level like?

安娜：我的水平很高！我能跟服务员说半个小时的话！My level is really high! I can chat with a waiter for half an hour!

马克：我的水平……一般吧。我只能说两千个词。My level... average, I suppose. I can only say two thousand words.

大卫：两千个？我的水平不高，我只能说一点儿。Two thousand? My level isn't high. I can only speak a little.

王老师：大卫，别这么说。这个月有一个大考试：汉语水平考试。David, don't say that. There's a big exam this month: the Chinese proficiency exam.

王老师：我觉得你们三个都应该参加。I think all three of you should take it.

安娜：好啊！这次我一定比大卫考得好！Great! This time I'm definitely going to beat David!
