The story

小雨：今天两家人一起吃火锅，大家要多交流。大卫，你当翻译！Today both families are having hotpot, and everyone should get talking. David, you're the interpreter!

大卫：我？我爸妈只会说英语，你爸妈只会说汉语……Me? My parents only speak English, your parents only speak Chinese...

小雨：对啊，所以只有你能翻译。你会说两种语言嘛。Exactly — so only you can interpret. You speak both languages.

大卫：好吧……我试试。All right... I'll try.

爸爸：大卫，告诉他：昨天我喝了四杯，一点儿也没喝醉！David, tell him: yesterday I had four drinks and didn't get drunk at all!

小雨爸爸：大卫，你告诉他：昨天是他先睡的！David, you tell him: yesterday HE fell asleep first!

大卫：等等，等等！你们两个人不能同时说！Wait, wait! You can't both talk at the same time!

大卫：我只有一个脑子，不能同时翻译两个人！我真后悔当翻译！I've only got one brain — I can't translate two people at once! I really regret taking this job!
