The story

乐乐：哇！好大的树！大卫，你们也过圣诞节吗？Whoa! What a big tree! David, do you celebrate Christmas too?

大卫：当然！这是我爸妈在中国的第一个圣诞节。Of course! It's my parents' first Christmas in China.

爸爸：在美国，圣诞节最重要！In America, Christmas is the most important day of the year!

小雨：在中国，春节最重要。可是年轻的人也喜欢过圣诞节。In China, Spring Festival is the most important. But young people like celebrating Christmas too.

妈妈：今天两家人一起过圣诞节，大家各带一个菜！Today both families are celebrating Christmas together — everyone brings one dish!

小雨：首先，树上面要放一个星星。谁来放？First of all, we need a star on top of the tree. Who's doing it?

小雨妈妈：大卫最高，大卫放吧！David's the tallest — David can do it!

爸爸：我比大卫还高！我来放！I'm even taller than David! I'll do it!
