The story

小雨妈妈：我来了！这个月，我来照顾小雨坐月子。I'm here! This month, I'm looking after Xiaoyu for her month of rest.

大卫：妈，您带了这么多东西！Mum, you've brought so much stuff!

小雨：妈，您来得真及时！我和大卫都困死了。Mum, you've come just in time! David and I are dead tired.

小雨妈妈：鸡，鱼，还有很多菜。坐月子，营养最重要！A chicken, a fish and lots of vegetables. During the first month, nutrition is the most important thing!

小雨妈妈：哎呀，厨房的面积太小了，我的东西放不下！Oh dear, the kitchen's far too small. My things won't fit!

小雨妈妈：按照传统，坐月子不能喝凉水，不能洗头，不能出门。By tradition, during the first month you can't drink cold water, you can't wash your hair, and you can't go out.

小雨：一个月不能洗头？！No washing my hair for a whole month?!

小雨妈妈：按照传统，就是这样。还有，每天喝六碗汤，很有营养。That's the tradition. And six bowls of soup a day. Very nourishing.
