The story

主持人：今天，西安地区四十度。这样的天气，还会持续一个星期。Today it's forty degrees in the Xi'an area. This weather will continue for another week.

小雨：四十度？还要持续一个星期？Forty degrees? And it'll go on for a week?

马克：这是西北地区的气候。夏天很热，太阳很强烈。That's the climate of the north-west. Summers are very hot, and the sun is very strong.

小雨：成都夏天也热，可是没有这么热！Chengdu's hot in summer too, but not this hot!

主持人：这是这个地区五十年里最热的一个夏天。This is the hottest summer the region has had in fifty years.

大卫：这样的天气，只对卖冰水的人有利。Weather like this is only good for people who sell iced water.
