The story

小雨：你们听，广播！Listen, an announcement!

工作人员：各位邻居，早上好！这里是小区广播。Good morning, neighbours! This is the estate announcement system.

工作人员：从今天起，每个单元的门口都有一个先进的大门。From today, every building entrance has an advanced new gate.

工作人员：回家的时候，看一下门，门就开了！When you come home, just look at the gate, and it opens!

马爷爷：看脸开门？成都越来越发达了！A door that opens when it sees your face? Chengdu is getting more and more developed!

大卫：太先进了！我们美国的小区，都没有这么先进的门。That's so advanced! Even the estates back in America don't have gates this advanced.

马爷爷：我年轻的时候，成都还不发达。邻居们互相认识，单元的门一年都不关。When I was young, Chengdu wasn't developed yet. The neighbours all knew each other, and the door to our building stayed open all year.
