奶奶：瞧！雪！瞧！路！瞧！什么也没有！Look! Snow! Look! A road! Look! There's nothing!

大卫：奶奶，这就是爱荷华州！它位于美国的中间。Grandma, this is Iowa! It's located in the middle of America.

奶奶：州是什么？What's a state?

大卫：美国有五十个州，联合起来，就是美国。一个州有很多县。America has fifty states. Join them together, and that's America. A state has lots of counties.

大卫：我们县位于爱荷华州的中间。我家位于县的中间。Our county is located in the middle of Iowa. My home is located in the middle of the county.

奶奶：县我知道！你们县有多少人？Counties I know! How many people are there in your county?

爸爸：五千人。Five thousand.

奶奶：五千人？人呢？Five thousand? So where are they?
