The story

小林：通知来了！“电影《一只猫的一生》将于八月十八日首映。”The notice is here! "The film 'A Cat's Life' will premiere on 18 August."

王老师：十八？好数字！Eighteen? A good number!

小黄：我十八岁！I'm eighteen!

小雨：“请各位于晚上七点出席。”"All are requested to attend at seven p.m."

大卫：出席？什么是出席？Attend? What's "attend"?

小雨：出席就是穿好衣服，去坐着，别说话。Attending means dressing up, going and sitting, and not talking.

小雨：……你的西装怎么又短了？...Why has your suit got short again?

大卫：我没长高！是它自己短了！I haven't grown! It got short by itself!
